Surviving the holidays



The holiday season is the root cause of much unnecessary stress in many families. Although the holidays should be a time of togetherness and merriment for all involved, high expectations and obligations sometimes make this easier said than done. Because, between the cooking, the last minute Christmas shopping, the family visits and the overexcited children, hysteria lurks around the corner!

Not only are we physically exhausted due to the amount of food and drinks we consume over such a short period of time, but by the end of the holiday period, many of us are also drained psychologically.  So many obligations need to be fit into such a tight schedule that you feel as though you can’t relax and enjoy the vacation time you actually have. As a result, you end up going back to work more stressed and exhausted than you were when you left the week before...
